Baroque kitchen
Our ancestors consumed much more game than we do today. Initially, they roasted the meat on skewers but more refined methods of preparing game were already recorded in the 15th century.
From the middle of the 18th century, the meat of domestic animals became more frequent on the menu of the nobility, but game was still prepared daily.
Although it was built for different purposes, the room housing our exhibition had originally been a kitchen. With the reconstruction of furniture and kitchen utensils the installation reveals the everyday life of a baroque kitchen.
