Visitor Information

The exhibition building of the Széchenyi Zsigmond Carpathian Basin Hungarian Hunting Museum is located at 24 Kossuth Lajos Square, Hatvan. Our permanent and temporary exhibitions can be visited on several levels of the building.

 Getting Here

 By Public Transport

Visitors arriving by train or coach can reach the museum from the railway station or bus station by crossing the Zagyva Bridge and walking approximately 1 kilometre towards the city centre. Alternatively, local bus services are available.

 By Car or Coach

Visitors approaching Hatvan via Horváth Mihály Road, Balassi Bálint Road, or Rákóczi Road are advised to continue towards the city centre and Kossuth Square.

The Ticket Office can be accessed through the ceremonial gate. All ticket types valid for the museum's visitor areas can be purchased in the main building of the former Grassalkovich Palace.

 Parking

Recommended parking is available in the car park accessible via the route:

Kossuth Square – Grassalkovich Road – Bástya Street

From there, visitors can reach the museum ticket office on foot through the museum's side entrance on Thurzó Street, crossing the park to the main building.

An alternative parking area is available on Szent Mihály Road.

Please note that parking at the Szent Mihály Road car park is subject to a fee. Parking is permitted only after purchasing a valid parking ticket, and the applicable charges are determined according to the current parking regulations.
