Accessibility
At our museum, special attention is paid to ensuring that the building and exhibitions are accessible to visitors with disabilities and reduced mobility.
The exhibition building is equipped with an elevator and accessible restroom facilities. Visitors with disabilities and reduced mobility are admitted free of charge to the exhibitions.
Our educational spaces also host museum education programmes designed for visitors with disabilities, including blind and visually impaired participants.
In 2025, as part of the Museums Autumn Festival, the museum joined the Accessible Museum project of the Museums and Visitors Foundation. Through this initiative, accessibility experts with lived experience assessed the museum building and visitor services from the perspectives of wheelchair users and visitors with visual impairments.
The museum is fully accessible, and when designing exhibitions, multimedia and sensory installations, interactive games, and visitor services, we always strive to ensure that they are accessible to everyone.
As a result of the project, the Széchenyi Zsigmond Carpathian Basin Hungarian Hunting Museum in Hatvan has been included in the foundation's database of accessible regional museums.
The database is available on the website of the Museums and Visitors Foundation:
