Baroque kitchen

Our ancestors ate much more game than today's people. Our ancestors initially roasted game in a simple way, on a spit, but from the 15th century they also knew more sophisticated methods of preparation.
From the mid-1700s, the consumption of domestic animals became more common in aristocratic meals, but the processing of game was still an everyday practice.
In the castle built in the mid-18th century, a kitchen stood in the place of our exhibition, although the room was not originally built for this purpose. The everyday life of a Baroque noble hunting kitchen is brought to life in the space furnished with period furniture reconstructions and kitchen utensils.
