István Fekete's memorial room

István Fekete is one of the most widely read Hungarian writers of all time, the best-known representative of the forest-hunting literature. He was able to convey his love for nature in a unique way through his writings.
Thanks to his family, the legacy of the writer and his family, which came to our museum from their apartment on Tárogató Street, can be viewed in his memorial room. Through his numerous works, photographs, personal items, and writings, visitors can gain insight into the details of his life and work. We have the original script of Vuk, as well as several of his autographed writings. Our exhibition contains a lot of information and descriptions about his life, family, and work. Almost half a century after his death, his name still rings familiar to the younger generation. He is not just a young adult novelist, as many people believe, but his works are recommended for all ages.
