Trophy room
The last room, which opens from the upstairs corridor of the western wing of the castle, hides a special collection that commemorates the hunting work of Dr. Pálos and his son. The walls are decorated with more than 800 hunting trophies, of which the roe deer trophy collection of more than 700 pieces is outstanding. The careful arrangement not only reflects the passion for hunting, but also the collectors' professional demands and respect for nature. The historicizing-style hunting furniture placed in the room further enhances the interior's authentic atmosphere. The furniture shows the creative and decorative use of various antlers, which also reflects the craft traditions of hunting culture. The Trophy Room not only presents the material relics of hunting, but also pays tribute to nature, the traditions of hunting and the people who practice it. The room simultaneously preserves the values of the past and serves as an experiential encounter for visitors.
