Zsigmond Széchenyi memorial room
The exhibition presents the namesake of the Hunting Museum, Count Zsigmond Széchenyi, and his work. How could a nobleman live if he was not only a hunter, but also a man close to nature, and also a writer?
In Zsigmond Széchenyi's study, world-record trophies, travel chests, a documentary about the count's life, photo albums of his travels, old editions of books by hunting writers from the early 20th century, old travel books, and hunting manuals present/bring to life the living conditions and culture of the hunter living at the beginning of the last century, and the main location of his hunting trips: Africa. The room is almost a snapshot, a place of documents still warm to the touch, which creates the feeling that its owner is already entering the door.
The books and documents become directly accessible in digital form (electronically and as models).
